Mystery Trail Christmas vouchers to be won

Horsham District Mystery Trails have been underway since April 2022, with people engaging with protagonist Answare and the many characters involved as they explore the area, solving clues along the way. Answare has been speaking to local businesses as we head towards the festive season and has put together something for Christmas.

Every Secret Seeker who has completed any of the Mystery Trails in Horsham District’s Market Towns now has a chance to win one fantastic ‘hamper’ of locally sourced vouchers worth £100 - Just in time for Christmas!

Cllr Jonathan Chowen, Leader of Horsham District Council and Cabinet Member for the Local Economy commented:

I hope many of those who have been taking part in the Mystery Trails enter this first fantastic voucher hamper prize draw and take the opportunity to provide some valuable feedback on their experience of the trails. I am sure the lucky winner will enjoy spending their vouchers at our wonderful local businesses or gifting them for Christmas.

Simply fill in the online survey via a QR code and link in the window of the town libraries or from the Whistlestop Arts website. The closing date for this first ‘voucher hamper’ prize draw is 8th December, timed perfectly for you to enjoy or give as gifts. So get trailing, and remember when shopping, ‘Buy Local and Gift Happy’ helping Answare’s friends and our local economy.

The free Horsham District Mystery Trails, effectively an outdoor escape room activity which appeals to families, friends and team-building groups from work, have been active since April this year in Billingshurst, Henfield, Horsham, Pulborough, Southwater, Storrington and Steyning.

Thousands have enjoyed these imaginative and gently challenging sets of puzzles, expertly created by Whistlestop Arts in answer to Horsham District Council’s brief to attract multi-generational visitors to spend time in our towns and, in so doing, boost opportunities for localised purchasing.

The individual trails have a strong storyline that connects them and are all completely free to do. Trail folders can be picked up from the library in each town. Alternative pick-up points and a link to download the trail sheets can be found on the Whistlestop Arts website.

The survey 'Secret Seekers' are being asked to complete will help the organisers to understand the economic impact these novel activities are having. Horsham District Council and Whistlestop Arts hope everyone who has experienced one or more trails will complete one of the surveys and thank you in advance for your time. Good luck in this pre-Christmas prize draw.
