Halloween in Horsham

Throughout the October half-term Horsham District Council and various partners have created a bumper programme of events and activities to keep families entertained, all are free to attend or low cost.

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween special of our Friday Lates in Horsham’s Carfax. On Friday 25 October from 6pm to 8pm join us for a Shrek themed night with live music from The Ogretones - a Shrek Tribute Band.

Also enjoy our pop-up bar, street food stalls and fancy-dress competition, hosted by Gobsmack Comics with epic prizes for the best Shrek-themed costumes (awarded at 7pm).

At Horsham Museum and Art Gallery from Tuesday 22 October to Tuesday 19 November we are hosting a Hair-Raising Horsham Trail. Join us this autumn for our free children's Halloween trail. Learn about local legends of ghosts and monsters to uncover a Halloween surprise.

Also at the Museum, from Tuesday 29 October to Friday 1 November we are inviting you to get crafty. Unleash your spooky creativity with fun, family-friendly Halloween crafts and bring home a piece of haunting history!

Across our various countryside sites we have some great fun activities.

  • At Leechpool Woods on Monday 28 October we are hosting Into the woods Forest school crafts costing just £2 per person.
  • At Warnham Local Nature Reserve, come along and enjoy hourly Halloween Kids Craft sessions on 29 October from 10 am to 3.15pm.
  • At Steyning Centre on Wednesday 30 October, join us for Animal Encounters where you can meet up close with anything from snakes and lizards to rabbits and guinea pigs. There will also be bug-based arts and crafts. There is a £2 per session charge and booking is essential.
