Horsham showed its solidarity with the people of the Ukraine by marking their National Day of Prayer yesterday (24 February).
The Ukrainian flag was raised by Horsham District Council Chairman Cllr Nigel Emery at the Council’s Park House in Horsham and The Capitol was lit up in the colours of the Ukrainian national flag.
Members of the local Ukrainian community gathered at The Capitol with senior Members from Horsham District Council.
The day is intended as a testament to the spiritual unity of the Ukrainian people and a symbol of their unwavering faith in victory.
Ceremonies took place across the UK to mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022.
