Horsham town centre came alive this summer as Horsham District Council’s Friday Lates entertainment programme transformed the Carfax into a vibrant hub of live music, great food and community spirit.
With glorious weather throughout the season, thousands of residents and visitors headed into the town centre every Friday evening from June to August to enjoy the lively atmosphere.
The 2026 programme, which concluded on 28 August, proved to be one of the most successful yet, attracting record crowds to a diverse line-up of free live entertainment.
Audiences enjoyed everything from Country and Western, Funk, Motown and Soul to K-Pop and Club Classics, alongside popular tribute performances celebrating David Bowie, Kylie Minogue and Queen. The season closed with the much-loved Dhol Collective Bhangra Night, once again drawing a packed audience.
A wide selection of street food and beverages was provided through the Council’s partnership with Food Rocks Markets, offering visitors an equally diverse culinary experience to complement the evening entertainment.
Organised by Horsham District Council in partnership with Food Rocks Markets, Friday Lates took place every Friday from 6pm to 8pm at the Horsham Carfax Bandstand throughout the summer.

Summing up the success of this year’s Friday Lates, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture, Cllr Tony Frankland, said: "We have been delighted by the incredible success of this year’s Friday Lates programme.
More people than ever came together to enjoy an even wider range of entertainment food and drink, creating a fantastic atmosphere in the heart of Horsham.
"I would personally like to thank the team at the Council who worked so hard on the organisation and delivery of these events.
"Thanks also to everyone who attended and helped make the events such a memorable celebration of our community. Special thanks go to Food Rocks Markets and all the vendors, the surrounding local businesses, and of course the talented performers who entertained us so well throughout the summer.
