We're celebrating Love Parks Week between Monday, July 29- Friday, 2 August.

The week will be a celebration of our Parks featuring free arts, crafts, performance and sports, bringing together our community of all ages.

Some of the sessions have limited spaces and require booking in advance and some are open sessions ensuring we have a great mix of activities to be enjoyed!

Monday 29 July : Wild and Wellbeing in Horsham Park Human Nature Garden.

Wild and Well Yoga and Meditation

Join one of two 30 minute yoga and meditation sessions at 9.45am or 3.30pm.

No booking needed, these sessions are open to all, but please bring along your own mat or blanket.

Wooden necklaces

Wonderbugs Wellbeing Crafting

Take part in an hours crafting using natural materials to create dream catchers and Viking bracelets.

These sessions will be held at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.15pm.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential

History Walks with Friends of Horsham Park

Sally Sanderson, Chair of the Friends of Horsham Park, will also be hosting a history walk lasting approximately one hour. Meet Sally in the Human Nature Garden at 10.30am or 2.30pm

Watercolour Workshop

Affirmation Art Workshops

The wonderful Paintbox will be hosting Watercolour Words and Affirmation Workshops.

The sessions will take place at 10.30am-12pm, 12.30-2.00pm and 2.30-4pm.

Fabularium in Horsham park Nature Garden

Reynard The Fox

This engaging theatre show is for family audiences of all ages, using The Fabularium’s unique aesthetic featuring storytelling, puppetry, original live music and their bespoke animal headpieces. The tale of Reynard the Fox follows the woodland’s most infamous scoundrel who prides himself on being the trickster of the forest.

Performances at 11am and 1pm.
Open to all, no booking required.

Twisted Bliss Circus Skills

Try your hand at a range of circus skills including Hula Hoops, Ribbons, Juggling Balls/clubs, Diablo, Flower Sticks, Baby Stilts and spinning plates.

These open sessions will be held between 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.

Open to all, no booking required.

Nature crowns

Wonderbugs Carnival Crafts

Head into the woods and take part in these nature crafting sessions making wood cookie necklaces, Viking bracelets, nature crowns and more.

The sessions will be held at 11.30-12.30pm, 1-2pm and 2.15-3.15pm.

The Fabularium animals will bring a host of interactive theatre opportunities to Steyning including music, story telling and puppeteering.

Plant Pokes Workshop

Join Make do and trend to create your very own plant poke decoration! Choose between a butterfly or dragonfly design, creating your shape using clay before adding your decorations.

Friday 2 August: Team Spirit at Bennetts Field, Horsham.

The Fabularium at Bennetts Field

The Fabularium host The Woodland Games

Join the Fabularium animals for this traditional competitive sports day. Are you willing to join a tribe and compete for glory? These will be held at 10.30am and 1pm. We will end the day with a community softball tournament at 3pm to battle out which animal is the fastest in the kingdom.

No booking required, just come along and enjoy.

Horsham Sports Services

Come and try a host of different sports sessions with Horsham Sports Services. These activities are all drop in sessions with no need to book.

Learn to run

Learn to Run Taster Sessions

Horsham Wellbeing offer a free 10-week Learn to Run course for adults looking to take their first steps to getting active. These free taster sessions for both adults and children* (aged 12 and over) include a warm up, some fun activities to get you moving and a cool down/stretch at the end.

Sessions will be held at 11am and 1.30pm.

Kicks Dance helps to make children feel confident, happy, safe & special through dance.

Basketball with Horsham Hawks

Enjoy Basketball sessions with the Horsham Hawks at 12pm – 12.30pm, 1pm – 1.30pm and 2pm – 2.30pm. Sessions are open to all so just come along, no need to book.

Horsham Rugby Club

Join Horsham rugby club between 12:00pm-12:45pm. This is an open sessionw ith no need to book.

Exercise Taster Classes with Places Leisure

Join Places Leisure will be hosting 3x20minute taster exercise classes between 12:00pm-1:00pm and 2:00pm-3:00pm. No need to book.
