Meadowside Storrington

Meadowside is open at all times. Admission is free.

Meadowside in Storrington is a hidden gem in an otherwise built up area.
Covering 4.6 acres, it has a small play area for young children and a chalk stream fed from the South Downs.
The stream and its surrounds form a unique and important habitat. Herons, Grey Wagtails and bats are often seen, and if you’re lucky you‘ll catch a fleeting glimpse of a Kingfisher.  The area boasts the Black Poplar, a rare wetland tree and Marsh Marigolds come into flower every spring.
The packhorse bridge, which dates from the 17th Century, crosses over the River Stor on the path through the meadow.
