South Holmes Open Space

From Monday 14 September, improvement work will begin at South Holmes play area.

The new play area will include:

* Swings
* Zip Wire
* Trampoline
* Two climbing structures with slides
* Balance and clambering trail
* Sand play area
* Sensory area
* Mounds and boulders
* Wooden chimes

The project will also include realigned fencing, a picnic table, seating areas, and new planting.

We're pleased to say that the existing pendulum swing will remain.

The play area will be closed while work is taking place. We expect the project to be completed by the end of October 2026, weather permitting.

We are thinking of re-naming it Owlbeech Play Area and we can't wait to show you the finished result.
