Enterprising Horsham is our plan to unlock the full potential of our communities, economy and places, to ensure fairer and greener economic prosperity for all.

Our vision is to improve prosperity and the quality of life for residents whilst enhancing the area as an attractive and sustainable place to live, work, visit, invest and do business with a focus on driving job creation and retention for the benefit of residents.

Ensuring that sustainability principles underpin all elements of the local economy.

Nurturing Business Development

Focused business support and alignment of Council services behind the economy.

Creating and Curating Sustainable Quality Places

Recognising the important role all our towns, rural communities and countryside play in building communities and attracting visitors and investors.

Attracting Investment

Securing physical and digital infrastructure and attract businesses to our employment sites and workspaces.

Enhancing the Skill Base

To meet the needs of businesses and aspirations of local communities whilst addressing the current challenges within the labour market.

This is our commitment to supporting our businesses and outlines our role and what we ask of local businesses.

After the consultation

Our consultation, which ran from 7 October to 29 November 2024, has now closed. Thank you to everyone who responded.

We are now analysing the feedback to prepare final plans. We aim to adopt the approved Economic Prospectus and Business Charter documents from April 2025.
