Residents and businesses are invited to share their thoughts on how we can work to improve air quality across the Horsham District.
We want to develop any future plans in partnership with our communities, so do please take the time to complete our survey - your feedback will directly help to shape our actions.
Our draft Air Quality Action Plan (AQAP) 2026 outlines the proposed action we will take to improve air quality in Horsham District between 2025-2030, building on progress made under the previous plan. We want to know what issues matter the most to you, where the Council should focus its efforts, and how we can continue improving air quality.
The plan is particularly important for Storrington, which is the only Air Quality Management Area in the District, designated due to previous exceedances of the UK annual nitrogen dioxide objective.
Following this consultation, the Council will review all feedback and produce a revised Air Quality Action Plan which will be valid for up to five years.
The consultation closes 20 July 2026.
