Community Link calendar
Every year we create a calendar for our service users. The calendar can help remind them to test their lifeline pendant and smoke alarms every month and has suitably sized boxes to add daily notes.
The calendar is sent out to the District’s most vulnerable residents, who aren’t always able to get out and see the picturesque scenery our District has to offer. This year has been particularly difficult, especially for those who have been shielding.
Sometimes the calendar is the only gift they receive during the year and we are often inundated with phone calls and letters of sincere gratitude.
The calendar's theme changes each year, this year's theme is: Beauty spots in the Horsham District.
Congratulations to Emma Varley for winning this year's calendar competition. Emma's picture of a frosty sunrise at Partridge Green made it onto the front cover.
I was, of course, surprised and pleased to win the calendar competition and to be part of such a positive initiative. Photographing our beautiful Sussex landscape and wildlife brings me so much pleasure, and it's always good to share it with others - especially with all the restrictions on being out and about that we've seen this year.

The 2021 calendar has been sent to over 1700 of the District's most vulnerable residents, who aren’t always able to get out and see the beautiful scenery our District has to offer - especially during these tough times. Thank you to everyone who submitted their photos, you've helped to brighten someone's day.

You can print off the calendar and add your own reminders to every week, day or month for the whole year in one go. Or perhaps you have a family member you could do this for? Print it off, add reminders and important dates.
