Horsham District is a very safe place to live, work and visit. To keep it that way, Horsham District Council works in partnership with Sussex Police to manage a network of 39 CCTV cameras in Horsham Town Centre and six in Southwater village centre.

There are also 12 CCTV cameras on the South Holmes Estate in Roffey.

Request CCTV footage

The town centre CCTV camera network is monitored by Sussex Police operators 365 days per year. The joint Codes of Practice for the use of the CCTV system can be found below.

Access to recordings made by the system is strictly controlled in line with the Data Protection Principles. The Codes of Practice outlines how to make a request to view footage via the Sussex Police Data Protection Officer. This is known as Subject Access Request. Further information on Subject Access Requests can be found on the Sussex Police website.

Further information regarding CCTV issues can be found on the Information Commissioner's Office website.
