Billingshurst homes local connection housing scheme

There are a number of local connection properties coming through as a part of a large development in Billingshurst over the coming years. The development will consist of one, two and three bedroom properties.

Households will be nominated to the affordable rented properties from Horsham District Council’s Housing Register.

Local connection criteria

This is a local connection development. In order to have a local connection with Billingshurst applicants should:

• Immediately before taking up occupation of an affordable housing unit had his/her only principal home in the parish of Billingshurst for a continuous period of not less than two years or
• Either they or a member of their household has a parent, child, brother or sister or adult child whose only principal home is and has been for a continuous period of not less than two years in the parish of Billingshurst and they wish to be near that relative or
• Is and has been permanently employed in the parish of Billingshurst for a continuous period of not less than two years
• Where no person or insufficient persons have a connection with the parish of Billingshurst as outlined above, in accordance with the nominations agreement then the rest of the Horsham District shall be substituted for the parish to Billingshurst.
