Grants now open to support small businesses

If you are a small business or a business in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors and are struggling as a result of the coronavirus crisis, there is now support available through the Local Authority Business Rate Grant to Businesses Scheme.

Horsham District businesses in these categories can now apply online for financial support.

This grant scheme has now closed.

Who can apply and how much is available?

As part of the response to coronavirus situation the Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced a package of measures.

Businesses who are eligible for Small Business Rate Relief or Rural Rate Relief in England will be entitled to a one-off cash grant of £10,000.

Additionally, for the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors, a scheme is available with a cash grant of up to £25,000 per property.

Businesses in these sectors with a rateable value of under £15,000 will receive a grant of £10,000. Businesses in these sectors with a rateable value of between £15,001 and £51,000, will receive a grant of £25,000.
