Council backs buying locally to build a circular economy

17 Nov 2020

A new animation developed by Horsham District Council highlights the investment shoppers are making in our local economy every time they choose to buy from a local independent business.

Residents across the Horsham District are being encouraged by the Council to think local and buy local where they possibly can in an effort to support local businesses during the lockdown and beyond.

A new Buy Local campaign has been developed by the Council to help local businesses who have continued to work tirelessly throughout the lockdown to deliver vital services.

Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for the Local Economy, Cllr Paul Clarke commented:

“As a council we are really pleased that people seem to have rediscovered our local shops and markets during the crisis.

“The Council is playing its part to keep the buy local message front of mind for shoppers as our local traders lie at the heart of our community. Every time you buy local you are supporting a whole network of local people behind the scenes.

We all need to support traders in the way that many of them have gone to extraordinary lengths to support us in recent months. Please ‘Buy Local’ in Horsham District.
