Horsham District Council showed its support for the national ‘Fly the Red Ensign for Merchant Navy Day’ campaign at its Park House building on Saturday 3 September.
The campaign raises awareness of our island nation’s dependence on Merchant Navy seafarers - past, present and future.
Present at the raising of the Red Ensign flag were Horsham District Council Chairman Cllr Kate Rowbottom, Armed Forces Champion Cllr Peter Burgess and Cllr Karen Burgess.
