A new programme of free business skills training is being launched by Horsham District Council and Horsham District-based independent businesses are being urged to book now for places to avoid disappointment.
A variety of skills and topics are covered in the training sessions, both in person and online, all having been identified by local businesses to be highly valuable. Find out more at www.horsham.gov.uk/btp
The Council’s business training programme is consistently popular, with topics often being oversubscribed. The training is delivered, for the most part, by locally based independent specialists, further reinforcing the Council’s own ‘Buy Local’ policy.
Over 100 local businesses in the last year have added to their skills and resilience through the programme and continue to benefit from access to an exclusive online training hub. Sessions available now or very soon next year include:
- First Aid at Work
- Business management – various
- Business marketing and sales – various
- Market Trading.
Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for the Local Economy Ruth Fletcher would like all local businesses to look at what’s on offer. She commented:

Horsham District Council’s 2023 -24 Business Training Programme has received £10,000 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in order to help fund the training programmes.
