Business Training Programme

From Friday 5 December, local businesses from across Horsham District will be able to access an exciting new series of business training workshops, one-to-one sessions and resources, as part of the Council’s Business Training Programme.

Delivered by local experts, providing valuable knowledge and skills development, the programme launch has been timed to mark the week of Small Business Saturday, in celebration of Horsham District’s micro and small enterprises, which make up 98% of local businesses.

Building on the success of previous years and following feedback from local businesses, this programme of training will introduce a variety of exciting new topics including Content Planning for Busy Business Owners, Putting Yourself on Camera, GDPR for Small Businesses, How to Use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and more.

Commenting on the Business Training Programme, Cllr Jonathan Taylor, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Enterprise & Property, said:

We are delighted to launch this new round of training in celebration of Small Business Saturday, highlighting the vital role small enterprises play in a thriving local economy.

This programme has been shaped by the excellent feedback from previous workshop participants, enabling us to introduce a fantastic selection of new business training opportunities while also bringing back the most popular topics.

I am pleased we are collaborating with locally based business experts to offer more exciting upskilling opportunities for Horsham District businesses.

This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing business growth and strengthening the skills of our local workforce and business community.

One local business, who attended a workshop in the last round of training, commented:

Really helpful workshops, which gave me a lot to think about on how to grow my business.
