Sandgate Park, Storrington

Horsham District’s parks and countryside sites are vitally important at this time. However, social distancing, as set out by the Government, is absolutely crucial. We have therefore put in place some restrictions. Find full details on the Coronavirus: Parks, leisure and venues page.

Sandgate Park is a quiet countryside area home to important habitats for local wildlife. It has 22 acres of woodland, four ponds, five acres of heathland and two acres of grassland.

There are entrances to the park at Water Lane and Badgers Holt.

Get involved

Volunteers from the Sandgate Conservation Society and Horsham District Council’s wardens work together to protect the rare and endangered wildlife at the park and improve access and landscaping to attract new visitors. Our dedicated volunteers meet on the fourth Saturday of each month. For more details please contact Sandgate Park Conservation Group Leader John Dugnolle on 01903 741039.
