Guided Health Walks

Coronavirus update: Measures are in place for everyone's safety. Please read the latest walks programme for full details of current COVID-19 measures.

Free, sociable, and family friendly, our guided walks are a great way to see more of the District, increase your activity and meet new people.

Our guided walks are split into two categories:

  • Health Walks Aimed at beginners and those with long term health conditions. Under 1.5 hours over easy terrain. Supported by the national Walking for Health scheme.
  • Level 2 and 3 walks Longer, more strenuous and may include hills and stiles. Some of these walks are organised with groups such as Steyning Downland Scheme and Storrington Conservation Society.

There’s no need to book, just turn up. You will be asked to fill out our New Walker Registration Form before your first walk with us. Please either print the form yourself and bring it along, or arrive at the walk in time to complete a form from the leader.

Dogs are welcome on some of our walks and these are clearly marked in the Health Walks programme. The walk leader may offer advice or request removal of the dog from the walk if it is causing a nuisance.

The Walk Leader may cancel the walk if they consider that the conditions are too hazardous. If you would like to be sure that the walk is going ahead, please telephone the relevant walk leader.
