Horsham Drill Hall: Coronavirus safety measures
We have put in place the following measures and guidelines in line with current Government requirements to ensure that our visitors and staff can work and enjoy the Drill Hall’s facilities safely. Please share these details with your guests. Signs are also on display in relevant areas to remind people of their responsibilities.
Face Coverings
- We advise all visitors to wear a face covering where appropriate to reduce the spread of the virus at source. However as with all instances when face covering is encouraged it should be emphasised it does not replace physical distancing.
Social Distancing
- We encourage all our visitors to practise physical distancing when entering and exiting the building and moving between areas within it.
Hand Washing And Sanitisers
- All employee and customer toilets will be stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap, and stringent handwashing guidelines are in place for our employees to supplement our current personal hygiene policy.
- Hand washing is encouraged and a poster explaining the best way to do it is displayed in the toilet. Reminders to wash hands properly will also be displayed.
- Hand sanitiser will be provided and instructions of use displayed.
Additional Cleaning
- Our already high cleaning standards will be enhanced by a cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise the high touch points within the Hall.
- Regular cleaning of contact areas will take place including light switches, door and window handles and tables and chairs.
- The kitchen will be cleaned daily if a schedule of one class a day is maintained, or if not, after each activity.
Additional Measures
- Respiratory hygiene will be urged and The “Catch it, Bin it, Kill it” poster will be displayed.
- Where possible doors and windows should be left open to improve air flow when the weather allows, whilst also bearing in mind the security of those within the Hall.
- Lids will be left off bins so users don’t have to touch them when depositing rubbish.
NHS Test And Trace
We now have the NHS Test and Trace system in place. Customers entering our venue should use their smart phone to download the new free NHS Covid-19 app and check in on arrival. Customers who do not have a smart phone will be required to give their contact details to the event organiser.
