Play areas

Parbrook Play Area, Billingshurst

As part of our continuous programme of play areas across the District, we are now progressing with plans to improve the play opportunities at Parbrook Play Area (between Berrall Way and Stane Street).

Our aim is to make this space even more fun and welcoming for children of all ages to enjoy,

We're considering the following to be delivered in Spring 2026;

Snake Swing: Within the play area, we hope to introduce  a thick rope swing which lots of kids can play on together. This one goes back and forwards rather than up in the air.

Zip Wire: In the wider open space, we’re thinking of installing a zip wire for speedy rides.

Sheltered seating: Near the path we’re planning on creating a spot, that's perfect to relax and chat.

General tidy up: We plan to renew the gates and safety surfacing, which will make the whole area look brighter and fresh.
