Outline planning application

An outline planning application is a way to find out whether the scale and nature of your proposal would be acceptable before putting forward a fully detailed proposal.

All outline planning applications should be submitted with:

Reserved matters

Reserved matters are elements that can be decided on at a later stage, or during the initial outline application.

  • To file an Outline (Layout Not Reserved) application, you will need to submit floor layout/plans (existing and proposed) with your initial application
  • To file an Outline (Scale or Appearance not Reserved) application, you will need to submit floor/layout plans, section plans and roof plans with your initial application
