Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
We all have a part to play in Great Big Green Week. Here's a snapshot of some ways that Horsham District Council has been tackling climate change and protecting nature this past year:
- A new Draft Climate Change Action Strategy for the District
- Supporting businesses to become carbon neutral
- Reducing our direct carbon emissions by almost 60%
- Providing grant funding for carbon reduction and biodiversity projects
- Supporting the District to have the highest recycling rate in West Sussex
- Improving biodiversity in our countryside sites
- Working with partners to deliver locally generated, renewable energy solutions
