Warnham Local Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife just a 30-minute walk from Horsham town centre. The Reserve has bird hides overlooking a 17-acre millpond, walking trails through meadows and woodland, boardwalks over the marshy grassland and a woodpecker hide.

Perfect for families and offering level paths with good disabled access, the Reserve is a great spot to learn about wildlife and habitats. The bird hides are especially popular with local photographers.

Opening times

Warnham Local Nature Reserve is open to visitors every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

  • April to September: The Reserve and car park are open 10am-5pm. The cafe closes at 4pm.
  • October to March: The Reserve and car park are open 10am-4pm. The cafe closes at 3pm.

Admission prices

Admission is £2 per adult and free for under 16s.

If you wish to only visit the Cafe and Visitor Centre, admission is free. If you arrive after the Cafe and visitor centre are closed, you can enter through the gate next to the centre and admission is free.

Annual passes are available to buy at the Visitor Centre for £12.

Parking

Parking at Warnham Nature Reserve is free. The car park has plenty of spaces, including room for coaches. The car park is locked when the reserve closes.
