Delay to Horsham District Local Plan process
The meeting of full Council on 28 July to approve the Regulation 19, Pre-Submission Horsham District Local Plan document, has been postponed.
This follows the Government's announcement of changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) on Tuesday 20 July, without notice. These changes have significant implications on the Horsham District Local Plan.
Regulation 19 - Further opportunities to have your say
Following approval at Cabinet on 15 July 2021 of the Local Development Scheme an updated Local Plan timetable has now been issued.
If approved at Council on 28 July we will be seeking your views on the Submission Draft of the Local Plan (Regulation 19) from 10 September to 22 October 2021 to consider whether the Local Plan meets the nationally set planning 'tests'. This is part of the statutory process to allow representations to be made on the Local Plan before it is submitted to the Secretary of State.
For further information about the stages of plan preparation and the timescales this will take place, visit our Local Plan Review timetable page.
