July 2023: Local Plan Review Update

Following the local elections on 4 May 2023 there has been a change to the majority party at Horsham District Council.  Officers within the Strategic Planning Team are currently working with elected Councillors to agree a new Local Plan review timetable which will be updated in due course.

Regulation 19 - Further opportunities to have your say

Once approved at Council we will be seeking your views on the Submission Draft of the Local Plan (Regulation 19) to consider whether the Local Plan meets the nationally set planning 'tests'.  This is part of the statutory process to allow representations to be made on the Local Plan before it is submitted to the Secretary of State.

For further information about the stages of plan preparation and the timescales this will take place, visit our Local Plan Review timetable page.

31 March 2020: The Regulation 18 Draft Local Plan Consultation is now closed.

The consultation on the Regulation 18 Draft Local Plan was held for a six week period between 17 February 2020 and 5pm on 30 March 2020.  The consultation sought views on all aspects of the Draft Local Plan, including the potential housing allocations.

The Council received thousands of comments from individuals and organisations and we are grateful for the time and effort that has been spent in making views about the Draft Local Plan known to us.

The Regulation 18 Draft Local Plan can be viewed online here.
