Report fly tipping
Fly tipping is the illegal dumping of waste. Dumped materials can be anything from a single bag of rubbish to large quantities of waste emptied by trucks. The waste is usually dumped to avoid disposal costs.
Fly tipping is a problem because of the potential harm it may cause to water supplies and the environment. It is also a risk to humans, wildlife and farm animals and spoils the enjoyment of our environment.
We are responsible for removing illegally dumped waste from public land. The removal of illegally dumped waste from private land is the responsibility of the landowner.
The penalty for fly tipping is an unlimited fine and/or 5 years imprisonment.
