Council's parks facilities and open spaces set to re-open safely in line with Government guidelines

In accordance with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown guidelines, the following Horsham District Council owned parks and countryside facilities will be re-opened for use by the general public from 29 March 2021.

Revised Rookwood proposals include measures to combat existing flooding

In proposing Rookwood as a strategic site in its Local Plan, Horsham District Council has focused its development proposals on the southern part of the site only and  an area where there can be action to mitigate a current risk of flooding.

Calling all jobseekers: Register now for the 2021 Horsham District Jobs and Skills Fair

The Horsham District Jobs and Skills Fair will return this year in digital format on 28 April 2021, with the opportunity for local job hunters to explore hundreds of jobs, apprenticeships, volunteering and training opportunities.

A new round of LEAP funding is set to start on 31 March 2021, targeted towards new start-ups. The funding will be available to apply for until 30 May 2021 and businesses are urged to apply now before funds run out.

Council launches student design competition for new Mobile Community Hub

Horsham District Council is working in partnership with Collyer’s (the Horsham based sixth form college) and local vehicle graphics company PVL UK to create a new look for their Mobile Community Hub, formerly known as the Snack Wagon, a key mobile youth provision service vehicle for the Horsham District.

Council advises landlords to make new safety checks

Horsham District Council advises that from 1 April 2021, all private rented property landlords will need to have an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) performed on all properties, including those with existing tenancies.
