Landscape Capacity Assessment

A Landscape Capacity Assessment is an analysis of the capacity an area has for employment and housing development.

The latest Landscape Capacity Assessment was carried out in April 2014 and was used to inform the preparation of the Local Plan.

Supporting maps

Maps of the areas considered in the Landscape Capacity Assessment are available to download. They are split into two categories:

  • Category 1: large scale
  • Category 2: small to medium scale

Landscape areas within the South Downs National Park have been excluded because any decision relating to housing or employment development in these areas is a matter for the National Park Authority.
